It won’t be long until I start making my winter wreaths, but in the meantime, I spent a couple of lovely afternoons recently making another autumn wreath.

I’ve used a willow base left over from last year and then everything else, apart from the pinecones, catkins and conkers, came from my garden. I have lots of dried nigella, so I’ve used some of that; there are Chinese lanterns, crocosmia, wheat, poppy heads, eryngium and (I think) Boston ivy.

It wasn’t until I took a look through my photos that I realised I had a little friend on the wreath. Can you spot the tiny snail down the bottom?
