A Spicier Life Blanket – finished!

After starting it just under a year ago, I’ve finally finished my A Spicier Life blanket.

A Spicier Life – part five

It’s been ages since I did any of my Spicier Life blanket. I’ve now completed part five, which means that I just have the borders left to crochet. Part five introduced some long ladder stitches and rippling waves and repeated the lattice stripes and granny stitches from part one.

It’s called the Spicier Life blanket because it takes inspiration from the sights and flavour of India. I say blanket, but it’s really more of a throw. The finished article is going to be teeny tiny (just under 1 x 1.5m) which is a little disappointing, but I’ve enjoyed making it.

A Spicier Life – part four

I’ve completed part four of the Spicier Life blanket. I only have one more part to make, plus the border, and then it’s finished. I’ll be sad when it’s done because I’ve enjoyed making it so much.

I’ve been in a bit of a crafting rut of late, not feeling like picking up any of my works in progress. 

A Spicier Life – part two

I’ve completed part two of the Spicier Life CAL that I started earlier this year. This section was made up of 18 rows and introduced Easter eggs, bobbles, puffs and spike stitches.

The pattern is full of clear instructions and photographs making it very easy to follow.

I’m really enjoying making this. It’s nice to be able to pick it up and complete a row or two between other things that I’m making, rather than feeling overwhelmed by a big project to complete.
