The Textiles East Fair is a new event taking place in Cambridgeshire on 17-18 February.
I visited today and was pleasantly surprised at just how much there was to see. Spread across five different rooms, there was a variety of good quality retailers selling all things crafty from lace bobbins to printing blocks, yarns to fabrics, beads to books.
There was an exhibition and demonstration area as well.
The £6 entry fee was well worth it and the venue (Swavesey Village College) had plenty of car parking space and was also very accessible by public transport.
It was a very well organised event and I was really encouraged to see that there are lots of local crafty folk out there.
The fair is only on for a couple of days so if you’re in the area don’t miss out!
I am so glad you enjoyed your visit. Next year is already in the planning and I hope you can visit again. Claire
