Norfolk Makers’ Festival 2023

I had a fantastic day at the Norfolk Makers’ Festival, which is taking place at The Forum in Norwich until 19 March.

Crown to Catwalk

One of the things that I used to enjoy most about visiting the Knitting and Stitching Shows was seeing the work on display in the textile galleries. Even in pre-Covid times, the shows got too busy for me so I stopped going, preferring to look out for smaller exhibitions instead. When I saw that the Royal School of Needlework was holding a 150th-anniversary show at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London, I knew that it would be something I would enjoy.

A little home decor

Where has this year gone already? It’s been a while since I’ve written anything, but I have been pottering about making a few things for my newly decorated bedroom.

UFO number six completed

This unfinished project is another kit from another craft show. I remember seeing these Lily and friends dolls in their cute outfits and fell in love with them, as did an awful lot of other people at the show: it was an incredibly busy stall.

I really didn’t enjoy making this.

So I worked out why I never completed this kit – one of the coloured threads was missing. Grr. It’s ended up being a very light brown coloured robin.

Kindred Spirits

Just a quick post about my latest make. My sister celebrated her birthday last week. She is a big fan of the Anne of Green Gables series of books, so I wanted to see if I could find her something related to the book, which she might not already have.
