I really wasn’t looking for a new craft project, but I couldn’t resist joining in with this winter blanket crochet along.
The CAL is designed by Sweet_Sharna for Sirdar, with Hayfield Soft Twist recommended as the yarn. The suggested colours were a little too bold for me, although they do look lovely and festive. I decided to go with a palette the designer had used in a test sample. However, now the blanket is starting to take shape I’m not sure if I chose my colours wisely. We will see!
Starting a new crochet project gave me the perfect excuse for treating myself to these gorgeous stitch markers – aren’t they cute?
Week two of the CAL launched today, but I haven’t completed all of the rows from the first part yet. I’m hoping to catch up by next week!
